Zero Liquid Discharge Plants (ZLD)

Zero Liquid Discharge Plants (ZLD)

Advanced Zero Liquid Discharge Solutions for Sustainable Water Management

Our Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Plants are advanced wastewater treatment and water-recovery systems designed to minimize or eliminate the discharge of liquid wastewater from industrial processes. ZLD systems treat and recover wastewater so that a large portion of the water can be reused, while the remaining dissolved salts and concentrated solids are separated for appropriate handling or disposal.

We provide customized ZLD solutions based on wastewater characteristics, flow rate, recovery objectives, salt load, energy considerations and applicable discharge requirements.

How a ZLD Plant Works

A typical ZLD system may include a combination of the following stages:

Industrial Effluent → Pre-Treatment → Biological/Chemical Treatment → UF/RO → Concentration → Evaporation → Crystallization → Salt/Solid Handling

The exact treatment sequence varies according to the characteristics of the wastewater and the required recovery target.

RO and other membrane systems may recover a significant portion of the water, while concentrated reject streams can be further treated through evaporation and crystallization to separate water from dissolved salts.
