Our Demineralization (DM) Plants are designed to reduce dissolved ionic impurities from water and produce low-conductivity, low-mineral water for applications where higher water purity is required.

DM plants typically use ion-exchange technology to remove positively and negatively charged ions from water. Depending on the application and feed-water quality, the system can be configured using cation and anion exchange units, mixed-bed polishing and other suitable pre-treatment processes.

We provide customized DM Plant solutions based on feed-water quality, required flow capacity, desired conductivity and application requirements.


How a DM Plant Works

Feed Water → Pre-Treatment → Cation Exchange → Degassing → Anion Exchange → Mixed Bed Polishing → DM Water

In the ion-exchange process, positively charged ions are exchanged in the cation unit, while negatively charged ions are removed in the anion unit.

Where required, a mixed-bed unit can provide additional polishing to achieve a higher level of demineralization.

The exact process configuration depends on the raw-water chemistry and required treated-water quality.
